About the Author

Liath LaVerne Hawke

Writer, artist, creative entrepreneur, coder, mother of chickens, servant to cats, and guardian of two adorable lovebirds.

Liath started her journey as a writer back in High school around 2010. After going through a tough depression phase a year later, she decided to write darker stories. From there, she progressed forward to write stories set in a oversized multiverse world in the science fiction, fantasy, and horror genre. While she's always been an artists, the last several years has been a journey to improve her artist skills so that she can illustrate for her books.

Who are my top 3 author inspiartions in my 3 genre's?

  • H. P Lovecraft for Cosmic Horror
  • H. G. Wells for Science Fiction
  • J. R. R. Tolkien for Fantasy

I'm also a fan of Brandon Sanderson, Neil Gaiman, and Stephen King

What are my other inspirations beyond authors?

It would be a mixture of 2D animations, things I find on YouTube, and music. My top would be...

  • Studio Ghibli for their 2D animation movies
  • Marvel's X-men
  • Sailor Moon
  • Critical Role for their D&D stories on YouTube (and Beacon) and their 2D animation show(s)
  • Dance with the Dead for their music
  • Samuel Taylor Coleridge for his narrative poetry

Vision Statement

A good story is like candy for our brains. It comes in all shapes, sizes, colors, and textures to meet our specific needs. It preserves a balance of flavors without overpowering what it compliments. The taste is always satisfying, no matter how dark or light it gets. In difficult times, we need these brain candies to help us escape the hardships for just a little bit and enjoy some fun and freedom, even if the characters in the story are going through similar tough times like you. Experiencing the worst of this world captured in a story helps us feel that we’re not alone in our fight to live.

Removed Shopify store in favor of Buy Me A Coffee

I decided to move away from Shopify in favor of Buy Me a Coffee since I wasn't selling any stickers on Hawke's Shop. I hope to add more to the Buy Me a Coffee shop soon once I learn how to make my own.
